• Intervention process:
Detection phase: Autonomous drones fly over a defined area and accurately identify the location of nests using AI and thermal cameras.
• Eradication phase:
Specialized drones: For high, hard-to-reach nests, a second type of drone, equipped with a lance, will spray a biological product directly into the nest to neutralize the threat.
Ground-based intervention: For nests less than 5 metres away, a team will use conventional manual methods to destroy them. This approach will enable rapid, effective control of the Asian hornet, protecting bees and the pollinating ecosystem.
